Playing Home Run Derby

We used to play home run derby at a large high school field.  However, we used a golf ball instead of a baseball. When the golf ball hit the bat, it would often leave the dimple impression on the bat.  We could really drive the golf ball with a bat and it gave us all a feeling of being a powerful home run hitter. Often the golf ball would land in the bleachers hit a seat and bounce high into the air. We used range balls and retrieved them when we were done playing. We would play for hours and hours.
